Gourmet Tidbit

Tourists and L.A. residents alike: If you find yourself staring up at the Hollywood sign, know that you are close to something wonderful: The Oaks Gourmet. I like to think of this Franklin Village neighborhood gem as Dean & Deluca's hip nephew. While buyers shouldn’t judge a book by its cover, they do; And the same goes with wine labels. Therefore, much attention is paid to the shop’s aesthetic. It’s no surprise The Oaks Gourmet’s manager Jeremy Fraye has a background in graphic design. The wine and spirits selection demonstrates a taste for the uncommon and intriguing.
